Featuring a limited edition three-piece selvedge denim range woven and made in Okayama, Wakayama-knitted tees, shirts from Fukushima, and suits & coats artfully constructed in Iwate and Hokkaido, our Winter 2024 collection is a sartorial celebration of Japanese craft and culture.
Adherents to the bushido code, our tailors in the Iwate prefecture of Japan are considered some of the finest makers in the world.

We went to Okayama – the home of Japanese denim – to work with artisanal and sustainability driven weavers and makers on the world’s best collection.
We call him Kaneko-san, but in his atelier they call him “The Godfather”. Ahead of the launch of our new Made in Japan ready-to-wear and made-to-measure programs, our head of brand, Jonathan Lobban, sat down with the man responsible for both, Kaneko Kenichi, in Hokkaido to chat style, philosophy and culture.

The workshop responsible for our Made in Japan t-shirts is located near Kimii-dera temple, which is the second temple of the Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. It is also the so-called birthplace of circular knitting fabric in Japan. Our workshop was established in 1964 and specialises in manufacturing high gauge jersey from natural fibres. Combining the spirit and skill of artisan-rich Japan, consider the t-shirts are heirloom pieces. Made from cotton selected from the hand-picked 'Masters' bales, of which just 100 cotton bales are produced every year, the fibre in this garment is a 34mm ELS ( extra-long staple) that has been finely combed. The result is a strong and durable fabric with a lustrous feel that feels sublime against the skin, and is created to last.
