The elegant double-breasted Polter Jacket is woven in a luxe wool-linen twill with matte finish. As an M.J. Bale 'decon' jacket, it is created with natural, unstructured shoulders to be lightweight and less rigid.
The Polter Jacket is created from a premium wool-linen blend, combining the breathability and drape of Merino wool with the strength, durability and roughhewn texture of linen. The result is a rugged but elegant garment just as stylishly perfect worn with jeans and a t-shirt (smart casual, here you come) as it is with tailored trousers and a shirt.

Provenance
Fibre Source
Known for its unparalleled softness and comfort, Merino wool is a high-performance fibre perfect for all seasons.
It is breathable and moisture-wicking, transporting perspiration and moisture away from the body and towards the surface of the fabric. The natural crimp and scales on the wool fibres create tiny pockets of air that allow for moisture to be absorbed and released quickly. Merino wool is also wrinkle-resistant, making it a terrifically low-maintenance option (particularly when it comes to travelling).
Linen, on the other hand, isn't quite so winkle-resistant. A vegetal product of the flax plant, linen fabric is characterised by it's 'slubby' texture.
But linen is brilliantly breathable. It allows air to circulate and heat to dissipate, keeping you cool and comfortable in warm weather. And it is extremely strong and durable, capable of withstanding regular wear and tear.
When woven together, wool and linen provide the yin to each other's yang: the soft texture and fantastic drape of wool is combined with the rough durability of linen. Rustic but sophisticated, it's an ideal tailoring blend for every well-dressed gentleman.
Performance
Half-Canvas
This jacket is created with a half-canvas, which is a 'floating’ layer of natural fibres stitched together between the inner and outer fabric of the jacket body. The half-canvas provides shape and structure, maintaining the jacket’s form through decades, when cared for properly.
Performance
Fully Lined
This jacket is fully lined, meaning it has a protective layer of fabric running from the top to bottom of the garment. The lining covers the jacket’s interior stitching, while adding structure to the suit.
Performance
Soft Shoulders
Much like traditional Neapolitan tailoring, which strips out much of the suit jacket’s heavy shoulder padding, this jacket features 'soft shoulders'. This benefits men with more athletic shoulders and those in warmer climates (i.e., Australia), making the jacket lighter and a more sympathetic wear in hot/humid conditions.
