Fibre Source

The natural fibre used in this high performance garment was created with Merino wool. The Alpine-Active ski parka and ski pants, in particular, are created with wool grown at the climate-positive, B Corp-certified Lake Hāwea Station (LHS) in New Zealand's Southern Alps, that has been woven into 'natural tech' fabric by Reda in Italy. Known for its unparalleled softness and comfort, Merino wool is a fibre now perfect for sports garments. It is breathable and moisture-wicking, transporting perspiration and moisture away from the body and towards the surface of the fabric. The natural crimp and scales on the wool fibres create tiny pockets of air that allow for moisture to be absorbed and released quickly. It is also renewable and biodegradable, meaning - unlike man-made synthetics - it will deteriorate rapidly into the earth after use.
