Provenance
Weaving
This garment is woven by Borghi 1819, a historic mill located in the village of Varano Borghi, in the northern Italian Province of Varese. Borghi believe that fabrics are a "form of art," a constant striving for beauty and perfection in the guise of colours, fibre and material. Entirely woven in Italy, the cotton fibre used in this garment was spun in Salerno, southern Italy, before being woven in the Varese region. Final finishing is done at company HQ in Varano Borghi. The result is an elegant fabric of extremely high quality, made with a low carbon footprint.

Construction
M.J. Bale shirts feature all the hallmarks of the great English shirt making heritage. Our Collection shirts have been constructed with single-needle stitched French seams, shaped side gussets, four-piece back split yoke, pleated cuffs, a long shirt tail, non-fused collar & cuff interlinings and constructed front placket. These details contribute to a superior fitting garment and more durable wear.
