The Lookbook
Black Tie Weddings
Black tie, traditionally speaking, means a black tuxedo jacket and trousers, the former with a satin shawl lapel or peak lapel and the latter adorned with a black satin stripe, worn with a white tuxedo shirt, a black bow tie and polished black dress shoes. Want a level up? Wear a white dinner jacket with a white dress shirt, black bowtie and black trousers.
Beach Weddings
A beach wedding is about relaxed polish. Think breathable, lightweight fabrics and effortless tailoring. Opt for trousers or tailored shorts in linen or cotton, paired with a knit polo or linen shirt (short or long sleeve).
For breezy afternoons or sunset celebrations, layer with a lightweight jacket. Finish with loafers or slippers.
Garden Weddings
A garden or vineyard wedding calls for polish with softness in colour, fabric and construction (leave the peacocking to the fauna). Lightweight suits in mid-blue, sage, tobacco sit effortlessly within natural surroundings. Classic tailoring, lightened up and perfectly at home among the greenery.
Cocktail Weddings
Cocktail attire means grand style – at the very least a tailored jacket and trousers – put together with personality.
Try elevated sports jackets, maybe even a double-breasted jacket, bold stripe shirts and dapper trousers with a pleat. A sand-coloured suit is perfect for spring/summer.
Wedding Guests
Wedding guest attire calls for polish with personality – think sharp tailoring softened by seasonal flair. A well-cut suit in navy or grey is a failsafe. For evening celebrations, a velvet blazer makes a confident statement, especially in deep jewel tones like navy or burgundy, balanced with tailored trousers and a crisp shirt.
