Provenance, and the importance of sourcing from authentic, trustworthy origins, means everything to M.J. Bale. We stake our business on it. To ensure we get the very highest quality raw materials, fabrics and garment construction, M.J. Bale utilises a series of global artisans that are the finest in their industries. In Australia that means working with superfine Merino woolgrowers – producers of the world’s most luxurious and breathable fibre – at farm level to access the finest wool for our suiting and coats. In Italy we weave this wool with into premium-quality fabric via centuries-old Gold Woolmark-aligned weavers. In Umbria a family-run workshop knits our woollen sweaters and in Naples we have shirts handmade by Neapolitan tailors with decades of experience.
To ensure our Collection suits – M.J. Bale’s highest tier suiting offer – are hand-made with precision and dexterity, we work with our long-time Japanese tailor, Kaneko (our Sartorial Samurai’) and his workshop in the Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Our supply chain is a network of skilled craftspeople to ensure we can make garments of integrity for you men of character.
