Lookbook Spring 15
Good-natured mischief and carefree larks with mates were our inspiration for the M.J. Bale Spring 2015 collection. The collection merges new casual items with soft-tailored garments in a colour palette that double-downs on happy-go-lucky variations of nautical blue, navy and white. Feature pieces for ‘gentlemen on tour’ include a super deconstructed dress-down patch pocket casual blazer made from machine washable wool, a Henley regatta-inspired navy-red-and-white striped cotton blazer, a selection of lightweight shower resistant trench coats and premium spring knits. Business-ready suits, M.J. Bale’s core offering, arrive in the form of corporate-raiding plain navys and capitalist riffs on blues and charcoals. For the dandy, fanciful Prince of Wales and windowpane checks continue this spring in dusty and muted greens, reds and soft blues. Classic double-breasted woollen suits and three-piece suits available in three different waistcoat styles demonstrate a return to masculine elegance and classical dressing. Conversely, casual and formal shirts step out in a gelato-like colour spectrum. The black tie category continues to evolve as an M.J. Bale staple. Ceremony-crushing woollen tuxedos with peak and shawl lapels appear in rich blacks and navys, as well as a kicking midnight navy blue velvet jacket and alternate cotton casual tux option.
