What To Wear To The Everest & Caulfield Cup

How to dress like the money in this season’s two premier racing events

The Melbourne Cup might be the race that stops a nation, but in Sydney the Everest is the event that brings city partygoers to a halt. Hailed as the “world’s richest turf race” this year on October 18 twelve thoroughbreds will compete over 1200m for a staggering $20m prizemoney.

On the same day in Melbourne, covering double the distance as the Everest, and with $5m prizemoney, is the Caulfield Cup. The Caulfield Cup represents Racing Victoria’s official start of the 2025 Spring Racing Carnival and is almost 150 years old.

With a combined $25m on the line in both races, as an event goer it pays to look the money.

For The Everest, we suggest wearing the Bolonachi in a trending rich green tone to stand out from the crowd. To stay fashion forward, wear it with a pale blue shirt and accessories. Alternatively, for a more stealth wealth approach you could opt for the Favaro in subtle denim blue pinstripe.

For The Caulfield, our standout is the textured Scala suit in burgundy. It will work well for later race dates in the season and looks
great with a tonal pink accent tie. Alternatively, the three-piece Greenwich in navy/sky micro check is super dapper and versatile. Wear it with the matching waistcoat for extra style points.
