Two legends of the style game, plus an eight-year reigning centre-court champion, show us that timeless tailoring remains the main game at Wimbledon.

A new tennis king was crowned at Wimbledon on Sunday, with Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz dethroning Novak Djokovic, but the centre court style in the stands was both regal and relaxed. Here are M.J. Bale’s top two picks from 2023, and the reigning Wimbledon style champion from 2016.

1.     Swiss Precision: Roger Federer

Known for his power and finesse on court, Swiss legend Roger Federer displayed similar grace and authority at the All England Lawn & Tennis Club with this classic ensemble: the beige/sand-coloured suit with stripe shirt and dot tie.

2.     Pitt Knit: Brad Pitt

William Bradley Pitt is unimpeachable when it comes to style, so if the two-time Oscar winner decides it’s ok to wear a knit polo to No. 1 court, then who are we to judge?

3.    Navy Seal (of approval): Bradley Cooper

Still unbeaten at Wimbledon in eight years (in terms of courtside style), Bradley Cooper proves that nothing ages better, nor serves a bigger tailoring ace, than the timeless navy suit, sky blue shirt and navy tie combo.
