INTRODUCING THE DRESSING ROOMS

M.J. Bale's by-appointment-only 'Dressing Rooms' are five tailoring man-caves located in Sydney (Queen Street, Woollahra & Chifley Plaza, CBD, stores), Brisbane (Wintergarden) and Melbourne (Chapel Street, South Yarra & St.Collins Lane, CBD). The Dressing Rooms are specifically built for grooms and their groomsmen/Wolf Packs to come get fitted out with personal service in a masculine environment. The rooms themselves are designed with a gentlemanly, club-like feel — a mix of dark and light oak timber, vintage sporting art, a cigar leather sofa and Mad Men-style wet bar for afternoon (or mid-morning) libations.

We like to think of the Dressing Rooms of an urban sartorial oasis for premium and exclusive service; they are a place to relax and get kitted-out for the big day while sipping on a beer, Penfolds wine or Johnnie Walker Blue Label whisky (feel free to bring your partner or future wife — we also have champagne on hand).

M.J. BALE WEDDING SERVICE

Here at M.J. Bale we see marriage as the successful union of two soul mates – not cellmates. The day of your wedding should be the ‘grand final’ of your well-dressed aspirations, showing your betrothed, friends and family that you respect the occasion, your partner and yourself.

We love nothing more than creating suits of handsome invincibility for grooms, groomsmen and wedding parties and take our role as your ceremonial tailoring concierge seriously (see our ‘Wedding Vow’ below). We even have dedicated style man-caves – the ‘Dressing Rooms’ – in our flagship stores in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for your personalised service in a club-like environment. (If you have a particular style or colour of a suit in mind for the big day, let us know in advance so sizing and suits are available for your appointment.)

Until we see you in store, please take some time to digest our wedding vow.

M.J. Bale’s Wedding Vow (to you)

We, M.J. Bale, take thee (to be our cherished customer for your wedding);

To have and to hold (you in great esteem and dress you and your groomsmen in impeccably tailored clothes);

For better or worse (we can tailor suits to accentuate your positives and limit the negatives);

For richer or poorer (we can work within your budget);

In sickness and in health (if you fall down before the big day and are bed ridden, yes, of course, we can courier the suit to you)

To love and to cherish (we love weddings and we love you, big guy);

Till death do us part (well, let’s not get too overemotional; we want your repeat business);

In the name of the Father (your dad will be so proud of you in our wedding suits), the Son (look after your suit well and one day your son could wear it – don’t go overboard with the dry cleaning) and the Holy Ghost (“Well, don’t you just look DIVINE,” your mother-in-law will say);

Amen (amen to all that, buddy – come and see us).
